Context Locator Picker Privacy Policy

What the extension does

Context Locator Picker generates XPath locators for elements selected by the user on a web page. Page inspection and locator generation happen in the browser. The extension stores its current per-tab selection state, such as the generated locator, selected context label, match count, and picker status, in the browser's local extension storage.

Optional reports for failed cases

Reports are only for cases where locator selection, generation, or matching failed, so the publisher can investigate unsupported cases and improve future versions. The extension does not automatically detect, collect, or send failures. If you choose to report a failed case, review the report, and select Send report, the extension sends the extension version, issue category, match count, website host, and the XPath shown in the editable report preview. The website host does not include the page path or query string. The XPath can contain text or attribute values from the selected page, so review and remove sensitive information before sending.

Reports are used only to investigate failed locator cases and improve locator generation in future versions. They are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and automatically deleted from the active report database after 30 days. The report endpoint does not store IP addresses with reports. It applies a shared request-rate limit to protect the service from abuse. Cloudflare may process connection and security metadata to operate and protect its services, according to its own privacy terms.

Information the extension does not request

The extension does not ask for passwords, authentication credentials, payment details, health information, or the full HTML of a page. It does not automatically collect browsing history or transmit page contents. A report is sent only after the user reviews and confirms it.

Sharing

Reports are processed by Cloudflare as the hosting and database provider. The report service is intended to support investigation and improvement of this extension, not advertising or credit decisions.

Your choices

Reporting is optional and user-initiated. Only submit a report for a failed case. You can cancel without sending anything, edit or clear the XPath in the preview, or avoid submitting a report. You can remove local extension data through your browser's extension settings.
